I’ve been in Arbor for five days, noodling around in shops, riding my TerraTrike on the TART trail and the new Heritage Trail that goes from Glen Arbor to the Sleeping Bear Dune Climb.  That is a lovely, lovely trail that winds through forest, past Glen Haven, and then through dunes.  I saw a black towhee and two Swainson’s Thrush during one ride.

When I stepped out of my car this afternoon, I took in the wonderful mingled scents of late blooming lilacs, hansa roses, and peonies.

I picked up this charming owl box at the same Leland shop. The petunias are enjoying the slow spring.

The kousa dogwood is putting on its graceful show in the Secret Garden.
